PGY1 Pharmacy Program at University Hospital

The University of Missouri Health Care postgraduate year one (PGY1) Pharmacy residency program will facilitate the development of educators and leaders in Pharmacy practice. The program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Our graduates demonstrate excellence in direct patient care and medication use systems, enabling them to confidently pursue their desired area of practice.

PGY1 Program Purpose

The PGY1 Pharmacy residency at University Hospital builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) Internal Medicine residency training.

Eligibility

To qualify for the PGY1 Pharmacy residency program, you must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited college or school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Missouri
