Video Visits
Looking for a faster, easier way to see a health care provider? With video visits, you can see one anytime from your smartphone, tablet or computer. It is easy to use, private, and secure. It’s free to enroll, and visits cost $64.
Video visits are great for when your primary care provider’s office is closed, you’re too busy to see someone in person or even when you’re traveling.

- Sinus infection
- Pink eye
- Ear infection
- Migraines
Quick Care
Mizzou Quick Care offers same-day diagnosis and treatment of common health issues in anyone 24 months and older. It also offers sports physicals for MSHSAA activities and summer camps. Clinics are located inside Columbia Hy-Vee locations. Video visits are available to diagnose colds, coughs, congestion, seasonal allergies and fevers.
Quick Care clinic visits cost $99 or your insurance co-pay. Video visits are $64, or $15 for people with University of Missouri Custom Network insurance.
Our Quick Care providers can help treat:
- COVID-19 screenings (Rapid testing availability is limited to certain symptoms. Not used for travel testing, return to work/school or mild symptoms.)
- Sore throat, fever, chills, body aches, cough. (Strep testing available)
- Sinus pain
- Ear pain
- Urinary tract infections (in women and transgender men)
- Insect and spider bites or stings
- Ticks and head lice
- Eye irritation or pink eye
- Rashes and cold sores
- Adult tetanus boosters
Quick Care does not offer X-ray, lab or imaging services and doesn’t provide breathing treatments and procedures. Please visit Urgent Care for these services.
Urgent Care
Mizzou Urgent Care treats immediate, but not life-threatening health care issues in people of all ages. It is available at our clinic or via video visits.
Experienced physicians at these locations commonly treat:
- Joint or muscle injuries
- Cuts and burns
- Minor head injuries
- Rashes and skin infections
- Animal bites
- Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
- Asthma
- Non-severe bleeding
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Work-related injuries
- Fever
- Flu and cough
- Sinus infections
- Sore throat
- Urinary tract infections
- Eye concerns
- Allergies
You can receive imaging and lab services at these locations, as well as breathing treatments.
Emergency Care
MU Health Care's emergency departments care for severe and life-threatening conditions. Our specially trained emergency medicine doctors treat:
- Chest pain or suspected heart attack
- Potential stroke symptoms (e.g. blurred vision or slurred speech)
- Complex or multiple medical complaints (e.g. chest pain and shortness of breath)
- Diabetic emergencies
- Serious broken bones (such as leg or arm)
- Severe or worsening abdominal pain
- Uncontrolled nausea or vomiting
- Choking
- Difficulty breathing
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Loss of consciousness
- Seizures
- Drug overdose
- Possible poisoning
- Head injury or severe headaches
The emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You should always call 9-1-1 in case of an emergency. Adults and children should seek care at University Hospital ER, and pregnant women should seek care at Women's Hospital ER.
