Research Profile

Amy Braddock, MD, MSPH, is a practicing family physician and an assistant professor and researcher in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Her research focuses on child obesity, especially in low-income and racial and ethnic minority families. She is investigating the influence of stress from racial discrimination on child obesity, as well as clinic and community-based approaches to preventing and treating childhood obesity.

Dr. Braddock recently received an American Academy of Family Medicine foundational award to study the implementation of an EMR-based tool to prevent, screen and manage child obesity in primary care clinics.
